Playing the waiting game....still.

So not much to report other than we are still playing the waiting game. Our dossier was sent a while ago and we are just waiting for our travel dates. We think it might be close to Thanksgiving or Christmas...but we aren't sure.

Back on track!!

Praise God!! We are now back on track paperwork wise. If everything goes well we expect a travel date this fall. YAY!!!

The Waiting Game

So we are waiting. Waiting for paperwork from the state that is now nearly 8 weeks overdue. Waiting for our dossier to get finished. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Just waiting. Waiting can be frustrating, nerve wracking and downright discouraging. But, when you get put into such situations you have no choice but to trust God and His timing. So we wait and trust. :)

Hopefully we will have more news in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!!

Urgent - Please Pray!!

Right now the powers that be in Ru*sia are deciding whether to ban adoptions of orphans to America. This is a terrible thing. There are roughly 800,000 orphans in Ru*sia alone. If this adoption ban happens these children will have no hope. There are hundreds of adoptions in process that could be stopped....please ask God not to let that happen. Some of these families have even met their children and are close to finishing their adoptions. There is a petition that was written by a young man who was adopted from Ru*sia by an American family. I encourage you to read it and sign it. Here is the link.

I also encourage you to pray hard in faith. We know the Bible states in Proverbs 21:1 "The kings heart is a stream of water in the hand's of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will". Please pray God changes the heart of those in leadership who are for this ban.

The light at the end of the tunnel!

So we had our last homestudy visit and are waiting for 2 documents and then we will be finished with this stage. Phew! The homestudy process is not the most fun part to get through but we know good things will come out of it. Next will be the I800 and fingerprints and then waiting, waiting, waiting. Hopefully we won't wait for too long. We can't wait to see our little girl!!

Great News!!!

We got the news this week that we have been officially permitted by an Asian government to adopt a really, special little girl. We are soooo excited. We would love to share her photo and information but our agency has asked us not to until the adoption is completed. I can tell you this, she is the cutest little girl I've ever seen! (mother's always think their kids are the cutest!!).  Our kids are super excited for a sister and we are super excited to have a daughter!

We are half way through our home study and are just awaiting a few more documents. Then it will be about getting the dossier together, submitting it and then the waiting begins.

We would really appreciate any prayers for our family, our little girl and our adoption process.

Thanks for all the prayers, blessing and support through this last year...it has meant the world to us!!!

Urgent Need!!

The Enskat family is desperately trying to get their 2 boys home that are living over in Eastern Europe in a very bad place. A little boy recently adopted from the same institution as their's had bruises and burns on him and was drugged and close to death when his parents brought him home. Please consider giving to the Enskat's RR family grant. They desperately need to get over to the boys as soon as possible. If you are a member of the body of Christ but one to think that the sole responsibility of adoption lies on the adoptive family I would say you are mistaken. As the body of Christ we are asked to take care of the widows and orphans....this means through prayer, donations, physical help, emotional support, and adoption....just to name a few. If you are not called to adopt then you are called to support in other ways. Please pray and ask what God would have you do for this family. Your reward will not just be in heaven but also on earth in helping a family rescue there children from a real hell on earth. There is a fundraiser giveaway going on for this family right now here.
